Oscar A Fontanez Rosa

Oscar A Fontanez Rosa Uno de los grandes maestros del cine sin duda. He visto sus peliculas mas alla de los efectos de luz. Lo mas importante es el contenido de dichas peliculas y el reflejo cinico de algunos de los personajes en las peliculas

Angela Alatorre

Angela Alatorre Stanely Kubrick was one of the few, if not the only one, who tried to bring awareness as to how the establishment (ruling class elite) has and does manipulate the masses. His films are rich in symbolism, for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. Those that really demonstrated this were Clockwork Orange (banned... in England), Dr. Strangelove, Space Od. 2001, Eyes Wide Shut. Its a shame we lost such a great artist.

Clockwork Orange was not banned in the UK. It played for over I year in a major London cinema. Stanley asked Warners if they would take it off the screens in the UK ( only) because of the tabloid press blaming every mugging and robbery on the film. The Mary Whitehouse and Lord Longfords anti violence campaigns and because of threats of violence to the family.
WBs had such respect for him that they granted his wish.

Yes your right, Kubrick receive unspecified threats upon his life, so he in a sense "self censored". It was not officially banned. However, the film was a critique of the established institutions like religion, government and science in Great Britain (and other countries as well), recognizing that all violence originates from these institutions ... See Moreand trickles down to the masses. This message threatened the powers that be because it makes people think, the last thing the establishment wants is for people to think.

Timothy Pirillo

Timothy Pirillo loves SK's askew view of life through the lens, from the story he is telling to how its filmed to his use of color and shadow to the his soundtracks. by far, the most original director ever to hit hollywood as for the best, fuck yeah, why not.....
