          State Bar of Wisconsin Eleven Wisconsin teachers traveled to James Madison's Montpelier estate in Virginia to participate in a We the People Summer Seminar from July 19 - 22. They explored key questions from the We the People textbook, such as: What are the philosophical and historical foundations of the American political system? and How di...d the framers create the Constitution? We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution is a comprehensive civics, history and social studies curriculum for upper elementary, middle and high school students and is one of five law-related education programs sponsored by the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Center for Civic Education.                       • Mark Lee Snell Seriously, what was the State Bar thinking? "Extend to everyone or drop it all together"? Who does that help? Certainly not Wisconsin Attorneys. The diploma privilege needs to stay put as is. Wisconsin schools teach Wisconsin attorneys Wisconsin law; ergo, the diploma privilege makes sense (not just in WI, but everywhere).
