Today, US Reps. Sue Myrick (NC), John Shadegg (AZ), Paul
Broun (GA) and Trent Franks (AZ) called on federal officials to
investigate the Council on American Islamic Relations after a 2007 memo
was published in a new book. The memo states CAIR's goals to place
interns in the Committees on the Judiciary, Intelligence and Hom...eland
Security. In 2008, CAIR was named a co-conspirator in a terrorism case
involving the funneling of funds to HAMAS. Later that year, the FBI cut
all ties with the organization.
