Jennifer Alves My precious baby niece Gabi celebrated her 1st Christmas 2009. Gabi's gift from me was a shadowbox I designed to show her how much she is loved and how very precious she is. I used a suede frame mat custom cut to 12" x 12" for good support and then used a paper overlay. The flowers were designed with the Sizzix Big Kic...k. I also found an adorable Button Art dragonfly to use. Gabi's photo puts the finishing touch.!

Sugarloaf Crafts Festivals As 2009 comes to an end, we’re looking forward to our 35th year of bringing together great handmade crafts, talented artists, and of course – you! See you in 2010!

Jennifer Alves Giving handcrafted gifts is one of my favorite things to do. Below is a photo of a shadowbox blessing I designed this year for a new precious baby in my family. The design includes a dragonfly hair beret that can easily be removed and put back on. The sleeping baby card is held with a velcro dot so it can be taken out ...and a secret message I added to the back is a surprise to find.

Jennifer Alves I love to give friends and family handcrafted gifts. No one else in my family goes out of the way to look for an art or craft gift that is perfect like I do. Check out some of the personal gifts I made this year.

Sugarloaf Crafts Festivals We hope everyone had a great holiday. Now that the presents are unwrapped did anyone get any cool handcrafted gifts this holiday season? Tell us about them! Post on our wall and include a picture!
