The Sun Advocate was founded more than a century ago in 1891 as The Eastern Utah Telegraph.

Since then, the paper has evolved and changed through various name changes and mergers to become what it is today.

        • Joy Bushman Bradley Excuse me but where is the presumption of innocence that our justice system is based on. Just because someone is accused doesn't mean they are guilty. Let us all keep that in mind before we post things on Facebook that could harm someone who may not be guilty.

            Sun Advocate Did you know that the Eastern Utah Telegraph began in
            1891 and ran until 1895 when it was bought out? It was then named the Eastern Utah Advocate, which ran until July 2, 1915 when it merged with
            The Carbon County News to become The News-Advocate.
            The newspaper didn't become the Sun Advocate until 1932.
