Shirley Devine Palacio Been a subscriber of Sunset for over 30 years. I love it !!

Ruth Soules We are starting this new tradition for Thanksgiving and looks like it will be a hit! Hand out pens and paper (you may either use small note pad size) then have everyone (family/friends) write out what they are thankful for then put all their answers in a large bowl. After everyone's answers are in the bowl, have family.../friend pick the answer and guess who wrote it! We just did it with friends recently and it was fun guessing who wrote this "Thankful for...answer!"

Sunset Magazine What are your favorite Thanksgiving traditions besides eating?? Football, beach day, games....??

Jenn For my Thanksgiving leftovers... I make Turkey-Day Sandwhiches. Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce is the favorite combination so far.

Janine Weyand I grew up this this magazine in my home, both my grandmother,(the cook), and mother,(the gardner), received benefit from their articles. Today I have old issues I've hung onto and continue to benefit from - thank you Sunset.

I just read the Demcember issue. Apparently Joel Stein is "disgusted by the notion of joy without hardship" as he surveys Orange County California. Apparently the Christmas Boat parade in Newport is "unChristmassy" and "secularized." He also says: "If it's possible to be offended by the overseculaization celebration of... the birth of a God you don't believe in, I was." You know, sorry if this isn't Currier and Ives, but the boat parade is 101 years old this year and it is tradition to many.
Then Novella Carpenter says that her and her partner "like to go somewhere where no one cares it is Christmas." so they "fled to Slab City, near the Salton Sea, to get respite from the Baby Jesus mania." Unfortunately for them, they found a bit of Christmas there. They were also intellegent enough to not bring water into the Desert.
What a load of crud to put in a Christmas and Hanukkah issue. Keep THAT up and I will not renew my subscription. You will lose a LONG time reader.

Cindy Bushey I chose to bring the potatoes to Thanksgiving Day dinner. Turkey 2.0 recipes Nov Issue- Mascarpone chive mashed potatoes-should be a hit!

Genevieve I just started reading the November issue, and a lightbulb went off. "I bet Sunset is on Facebook" YAY!!! Here you are. I LOVE your magazine. Beautiful layout, gorgeous photos, excellent ideas, scrumptious recipes, fun trip suggestions, lovely garden and space planning ideas. Great articles. What more could a girl ask ...for? AND eco-friendly. I love my composter and worm-bin.
