Hundreds of rally participants paraded from the Catholic Cathedral to the steps of the State House, holding signs that read “Let the people decide,” urging state authorities to put the issue of same-sex “marriage” up for a vote.

Among them were two Catholic bishops: Most Reverend Edgar da Cunha, Auxiliary Bishop of Newark, and Most Reverend John Smith, Bishop of Trenton.
