When on break I think that parents should just let their children relax and don't ask so many question about school. Also your parents shouldn't try to keep you in the house with them the whole time and understand that they want to spend time with their friends too.

I'm not technically a commuter student, since I don't commute from my hometown, but I take about a half-hour bus ride every day to and from school. I guess parents should remind their kids about what it's like to live at home-never treat them like kids just because they've slept in the same room for so long. We're independent people, too.
My school was closed yesterday due to the blizzard, and I wish my parents would've reminded me that I have to shovel no matter where I am now after snow falls.

I had a really tough freshman year. I was the only one from my high school class to come to GCSU (there were 24 of us in the class). I had to make completely new friends on top of learning how to REALLY study for the first time. Then I met this one professor who led a College Bible Study at a local church. I was in my bio class (im a freshman at the Citadel) and EVERYONE in the class is falling asleep, including myself. and my proffessor inturrupts his own lecture with, "ok. lets watch youtube."
priceless and everyone woke up. :-)

While we were loading into the truck and my car my dad was following me around with the video camera.he wasnt helping pack or anything. the whole ride to the school (which is an hour and a half away) he kept recording. the same thing while we moved my stuff in. he went home and attempted to make a movie out of the footage. he then realized that he hadnt worked the camera properly and hadnt gotten of it!
