Tri-Cities Regional Airport Evelyn "Mama Bird" Johnson is the world record holder for most flight hours of any living pilot and turns 100 years old November 4, 2009. TRI honored her for this accomplishment and presented her with a proclamation from Congressman Phil Roe.

Tri-Cities Regional Airport As part of the nationwide "Wings of Freedom" tour, a B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator and the P-51 Mustang are on display at Tri-City Aviation. The B-17 is one of only nine such aircraft in flying condition in the United States. The B-24J and P-51C Mustang are the sole remaining examples of their type flying in the world.
