Tamar.com - The Search Conversion Agency Come and celebrate the end of another great year with your team @ Tamar, along with some special guests.

As well as our usual mix of festive fun, we will as always be joined by a guest industry speaker, for a run-down of the year in digital. As 2009 has been a big year for being social, we’ll also be practising what we ...preach and featuring a twitter-fall – a live stream of tweets about the event (hash-tag to follow!). There’ll be spot-prizes for best tweets – both during the presentation/quiz and at the drinks afterwards. So bring your sense of humour with you!

This year we’ll be joined by Daren Forsyth – aka Twitter’s @DarenBBC

Daren is the Founder of 140Characters.co.uk and has worked in the Digital Media Sector for thirteen years. He built and sold a digital agency Fernhart New Media then spent many years at the BBC - including BBC iPlayer, BBC Archive, BBC Radio1, BBC News, BBC World Service and BBC World Service Trust. He was also a member of the BBC Digital Olympics Committee.

In 2007, he went on an attachment as Director of Innovation and New Media to The Media Trust, a Marketing and Communications Charity supported by every major broadcaster in the UK.

Daren now describes himself as:

‘a freelance consultant/insultant/thinker/ideas creator/catalyst/doer. I’m told I make things happen and say what a lot of people think, but rarely say. I’m an idealist and I would like to play my role in changing the world for good before I die. My dream is World 2.0/Humanity 2.0 by 2050.’

As well as Daren, we will of course be having Henry’s now legendary ‘Quiz of the Year’. Then there will be drinks and nibbles until late.
