Tap Top - London's first offical drinking water carafe!

London On Tap is a unique collaboration between Thames Water and the Mayor of London to promote drinking water in the capital.

London’s tap water is rated top in the UK, consistently rating highly in taste tests - beating more expensive, bottled alternatives. But, customers were embarrassed to ask for tap water when they go out to restaurants and bars.

London On Tap aimed to empower customers in bars and restaurants to ask for tap water rather than feeling obliged to ask for more expensive bottled brands AND to encourage restaurants, bars and hotels across London to proudly serve tap water to customers, giving them a real choice about what water they can drink.

At the heart of the campaign was a design competition to design an iconic carafe to be used to serve tap water in restaurants, bars and hotels throughout the capital.

The winner - Tap Top by Neil Barron, was announced in December and will seen be appearing in London's bars, restaurants, cafes and bars!

Over the past year things have changed and people are not so afraid to ask for tap water. Now restaurants, bars, hotels, cafes and organisations can proudly serve tap water in Tap Top - the winner of the design competition.

Better still, £1 from each Tap Top sold will be donated to the charity WaterAid!
