Robin,
I have homeschooled all my children from the beginning. My oldest children are 22 and 20. I have schooled through many challenges including a major illness (mine). I would be happy to answer any questions I can. What I want to say to you now is this: You can do it! You know your kids better than anyone, and you can do this. Let me know how I can help.

My husband just bought a couple of used computers with monitors for about $30 each from an online auction put on by our local govt. They're in great condition but not brand new or anything.

The company my husband works for recently upgraded all their laptops so they were selling the old ones to the employees. I checked to see if they had any left but they had already sold all of them. Good luck in your search!

In addition to acceptedge, go to the Dep of Education's College Navigator at http://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/ It is a great FREE site for details on size, majors, various statistics reported to the government by the colleges. Helps keep it neutral. It lets you search like CollegeBoard and there is no need to sh...are you personal info or pay fees!

CAUTION - DO NOT assume in-state prices for out-of-state students! Rankings from sites like US News and Newsweek leave out that detail in pricing. U Michigan may be a great school but will cost you $15k to $20K more for out-of-state for a large PUBLIC school education.

I am a homeschooling mom, as well as a professor at a 4-year Christian college in Michigan. If you have even the slightest possibility of transferring community college credit to a four-year institution, I would STRONGLY suggest having the 4-year college of interest take a look at the Community College course descriptions even before your child ... Read Moretakes the courses. That way, there is no question about what will and will not transfer. Many 4-year colleges already have compiled information about typical community college credits as far as what they will and will not accept. This will save wasted classroom hours, money and frustration down the line. I hope this helps a little bit.
