THE HURT LOCKER

THE HURT LOCKER The Hurt Locker is one of LA Times writer Kenneth Turan's #1 films of 2009!

www.latimes.com
I'm going to split my No. 1 pick between two films that have a lot in common even though they seem quite different. While "Bright Star" is an emotional love story and "The Hurt Locker" is an overwhelming, ...

the only thing wrong with it was the fact that it supposedly takes place in 2004-2005 . The ACU didn't become widely used until mid to late 2005. I would have liked to see a mixtures of the ACU and DCU being used instead.

Otherwise it was a phenomenal movie!

These EOD men & women have the most horrible job in this God forsaken war. My hats off to all EOD and for all of them who have given their lives. May this movie continue to bring the awareness needed to end this.

See you understand that, great but I'm talking to all the hero worshipping wanna be's who think this is how real soldiers act and I find that disconcerting. James was a cowboy, and that's not what real life is in EOD is even remotely like. The only part of the movie I found compelling was when he was back home in the grocery store and all he wanted... See More was to get back the the sand box at the 1st chance he could get. Adrenilin junkies are plentiful. Personally I think Hollywood would love to see this movie get a lot of awards for no other reason than it's a war movie directed by a woman.
