Great news for excavators of obscure lo-fi art-punk/garage-pop! Anthology Recordings, the highly regarded all-digital reissues label, has just uncovered and released the Prefabs' comprehensive 'Devolver' anthology for all to grok.
Other fine "obscure" artists who've been reissued by Anthology include The Monks, Simpl...y Saucer, R.Stevie Moore, The Red Crayola, Half Japanese, D.R. Hooker, Destroy All Monsters, Young Marble Giants, Fifty Foot Hose, Merrell Fankhauser, The Factory, Faine Jade, and Ya Ho Wha 13.

The Prefab Messiahs
Animator Xeth Feinberg (Queer Duck, Bulbo, Papü) revisits the misadventures of his early-80s band The Prefab Messiahs. This 3+ minute cartoon/music-video is set in 1982, in a fictionalized "Wurmtown" (aka Wormtown aka Worcester MA). The 1960s Beatles cartoon series is an obvious touchstone.
Cameo appearances include th...ose by Bobb Trimble (at 1:00), Captain PJ (at the end), and Oscar the Squirrel (throughout). This will be the first in a series, we hope!
