This is the comment someone postedabout my uncle protesting the police station in the eastside. Now whether or not I support his cause is not the case. Its the way an ignorant person can't intelligentally make a comment.

" I am commenting on the ignorant old man standing outside with a sign, dont you have... anything better to do than stand out there and protest against something that is going to make our streets safer for our kids? We are trying to improve the East Side for our generations to come. Get a Life thanks bye "

That IGNORANT old man has been an COMMUNITY ACTIVIST for this town and state for longer than melzninja has been on this earth. He was part of the sit ins in Boulder at CU in 1974.He was the administrator for two clinics for the migrant and indigent people of Southern CO. He has gone before senate committees to request moneys for these clinics. He has been apart of the chicano movement since the 60's. Has met and worked with Delores Huerta, Caesar Chavez, Dennis Banks and Russell Means.
He has been constantly fighting for the civil rights not only for the Chicanos but the entire community. Has taught English as a second language to migrant workers. He has donated all his personal papers to CU Greeley for their Chicano Education archives. He has been a resident of the EASTSIDE since 1944. and most importantly an uncle of mine. Was a Vietnam Vet with the Marine corp. To call this man ignorant and having nothing better to do, is ignorant in itself. People are entitled to their own OPINIONS but should learn to do it with the upmost respsect of mankind. JOSE ANTONIO ORTEGA
