What kind of redneck equates money with health, well, pharmaceutical companies who overcharged for meds, the ignorant fear monger, governments in southern states and northern provinces, the hell bent idiots who think medication is not a prophylaxis.

Having some knowledge of AIDS/HIV, I have not heard of any drug that acts as prophylaxis against the horrible illness. The only prophylaxis against AIDS/HIV that I am aware of is abstinance or condoms. The new drugs that have been developed during this last decade, have been able to raise the T cell count to a normal count, and allow people to ... See Morelive a life as if they have a chronic disease, as long as they take their meds. Segregating these people who are ill with AIDS is of no value. People who have ALDS can not infect or spread their illness unless they have un-protected sex with a partner. The real fear is that the people who have AIDS are more likely to catch an illness from someone that does not have AIDS, A bit of a cold for someone that is not ill with AIDS, can cause a serious illness for that someone that has AIDS that could be deadly. People infected with ALDS do not die of AIDS, but the complications, like pneumonia, etc.

be careful about handing over meds as if you cannot continue to support the person taking them, they have to stop and then virus has strong chance of mutating - be responsible - its not just a matter of handing over a few months supply of the pills - look into what you are doing very carefully and speak to your HIV specialist first
