I have been listening to Sonya talk about Art for more years than I can count...and loving it more and more each time. She really does make art objects so tantalizing, I wish I could be there tonight.

Sorry to those who couldn't get away from work, but check the calendar for the similar Seldom Seen events, which are held at 7 PM. And look for even more evening programming this summer, when our Thursday late nights will have a range of programs.

I think that the wall color adds to the affect of the exhibit. Certain wall colors will draw out parts of a painting that you might not notice, while colors like the pumpkin blush used in gallery 20 enhance the visual of the prints to the visitor. My personal favorite gallery wall color is the eggplant purple used for the Calder Jewelry exhibit, which was also used for the Young Art 2009, two completely different exhibits, but complimentary to both.
