Alex Blake SUNDAY IM OFFICIALLY A TOWSON TIGER

Brandy Hall Quick Question :), I took the placement testing for math and now i have to take a specific class, how can i ensure that this class is on my schedule being that my schedule has already been created? (p.s. I believe it may be filled by the time orientation comes around)
Decide.Towson at 12:57pm June 30
Hey Brandy,
You should call the Academic Advising Center, who create your schedule as a freshman and make sure that they understand the situation. Their number is 410-704-2472. Someone there will be able to ensure that you are taking the classes that you need.
Hope that helps!... Read More

Kumaran Ramakrishnan
I have a couple of questions:
How do i know if i have to take placement tests?
I kind of slacked of really bad in the last quater of my high school, what kind of repurcusions will i have?. P.S I have still maintainted a high GPA
When will i know what dorm i have been assigned to?
Decide.Towson at 11:09am June 30
Hey Kumaran,
Ok. A three part question.
The Placement Testing Center will notify you through the mail if taking a placement test is necessary for you. If you don't receive notification then you are fine. ... Read More
As long as you maintained a high GPA then you should be fine and your status with Towson should not be affected however you may want to talk to an adviser if you are worried about any scholarship opportunities you may be missing out on. Their number is 410-704-2472.
You will be receiving your room assignment and your roommate assignment in mid-August. From there you will be able to contact your roommate and prepare for move in.
Hope that helps!

Jessica 'Jez' Whitehall Does Towson have a flag line/color guard to go with the marching band?
Decide.Towson at 7:44am June 19
Hey Jessica,
There is indeed a color guard as part of the marching band. If you would like some information I would suggest that you visit the website (http://www.towson.edu/band s/MB) or e-mail the director of the band, John Miliauskas, at (jmiliauskas@towson.edu). Good luck. Hope that helps!

Erin Sawchak wasn't there/is there a form to fill out about ourselves so that we are roomed with someone similar or compatible to us?
Renee at 10:02am June 18
no. it's completely random.

Noah Romano is it okay that there is no english on my schedule
Decide.Towson at 12:23pm June 18
Hey Noah, yes, it is ok that there is no English class on your schedule. You will eventually have to take an English class, but it doesn't have to be in your first semester.
Decide.Towson at 7:35am June 19
I can't guarantee that you can switch a class but the people to talk to would be the Academic Advising Center. Their number is 410-704-2472. Hope that helps!

Temitope Is there coed apartments at Towson University?
Decide.Towson at 11:00am June 17
Hey Temitope,
There are not co-ed apartments on campus at Towson. However, there are many apartments within a few short miles of campus that are co-ed. For a list of apartments that are close to campus you can visit (http://www.towson.edu/hous ing/offcampus/aptlist.asp). You can call the apartment in question to find out if it is co-ed but most of the off campus apartments will be. Good luck! Hope that helps!

Daniel VanHassent I loved Towson and am definitely considering it as one of my top 3 colleges to apply to!!! If I end up going here then no doubt i will be in marching band!

Robert how can i get on the baseball team there.
Decide.Towson at 9:39am June 12
Hey Robert,
I would suggest that you visit the official website for the team at www.towsontigers.com. This is the site for all of the athletic teams and you can click through to the Men's Basketball Team. From there you can find contact information for the coaches and you can inquire about the team. One of the e-mails is for Jon Korellis at JKorellis@towson.edu. Good luck! Hope that helps!

Steven Q Urkel hey..i took a placement test, and i needed a refresher course, but its going to count towards graduation...and i put it on the academic interest form as one of my classes..is that ok?..Is west village privately owned by someone other than towson..cuz my father told me to apply there even though its after May 1...also, if the Immunization form is not turned in by June 1st, what's goin to happen?
Decide.Towson at 7:05am June 2
Hey Chewy Is On Mars,
For your first question I would suggest that you call the Academic Advising Center at 410-704-2472. They will be the best people to talk to about your academic interest form and the placement test.
West Village is privately owned and there is a chance that they may still have spots available. Their number is 443-275-4060. Someone there will be able to tell you about their availability.... Read More
Finally, regarding your immunization form, the Freshman-To-Do-List is a guide to help you complete tasks throughout the summer. The deadlines are designed to help you stay organized and on top of things. All of the To-Do-List tasks must be completed before you start classes in August. The June 1st deadline is just to help you so be sure to get it in soon!
Hope that Helps!

Decide.Towson
Hey John, Project Marj is AWESOME! I did it when I was a freshman and loved every minute of it. For me it was kind of like Survivor, without the voting off. Camping out in the wilderness, rockclimbing, learning survival and leadership skills and carrying everything you need on your back was really cool, and meeting a bunch of other Towson students was cool too. My favorite part was hiking Old Rag Mountain. I've been back there twice since then to do the hike again because it was so sweet. You should be PUMPED!
-Joe, Towson Ambassadors

Decide.Towson Hey Noah, your roommate's information will be mailed to you in mid-August. The Housing and Residence Life Department has already started working on assigning roommates, but because they have to assign thousands of roommates, they won't be finished until mid-August. That's also when you will find out where you will be living.

Gabe Jolly Okay, I *just* noticed that Towson put me down for out-of-state tuition status (I know, late), but I've been a Maryland resident my entire life. I called but they're obviously not open today. If this isn't fixed, I'm not going to be able to go. :( Advice?
