Foundation for Appalachian Ohio presents 2009 Child of Appalachia® Celebration -- Saturday, November 14, 2009 -- Dennison, OH

Tuscarawas County Convention & Visitors Bureau
On November 10, the Ohio Wine Producers is hosting a gathering of wineries, winery-wannabes and other businesses interested in the clientele wineries attract. We have assembled a powerful program that is, in part, ‘winery specific’ but is still broad enough to be applicable to all kinds of tourism related businesses. ... This meeting [one of 6 across the state scheduled in next few months] is funded, in part by a Specialty Crop Grant from the US Department of Agriculture.
We believe the program will be very powerful. Our goal is to provide information and networking opportunities that will be of benefit to all attendees. The venue will be lovely and the food will be great.
Agenda items include information on Steak Cook-outs, Tasting Room training, Special Events, Customer Service, Working with a Wholesaler, How to Work with Your Elected Representatives, Programs and Opportunities Offered by the Ohio Grape Industries Committee, and an Industry Panel revewiing the nuts and bolts of working with wholesalers, restaruants, and retail outlets.
Deadline for registration is November 5. Registraion information can be found at http://www.OhioWines.org keyword "Regional Meeting" and follow the instructions. Cost to attend is $15 for OWPA members, $25 for non-members.
