Two Chairs No Waiting Mayberry Podcast

What a treat tonight to be able to hear Jan's lovely voice to balance that deep masculine voice of Allan. Good to hear Floyd stopping by tonight. I have trouble remembering passwords too and I actually have an index card box by my computer so I can look them up when needed. I did two Mayberry presentations this week.... One at the Northwest Wisconsin Teachers Convention and I spoke for seventy minutes to a group of about fifty teachers. It went very well. Yesterday I spoke at a church luncheon for about forty minutes. In lieu of any speaker fee I have the audience bring food items for our local Feed My People Food Pantry and I also donate the money of book sales to the pantry, so with that one presentation at the church I was able to take in three large bags of food items and thiry six dollars which would buy three hundred sixty dollars worth of food through their bulk purchasing arrangements. So Mayberry is alive and well and my PowerPoint presentation always includes a segment about the many Mayberry groups out there including the WBMUTBB Digest, Two Chairs no Waiting Pocast, and others. I just finished listening to Allan's latest PodCast interview with Neal Brower. What a story. I can only imagine the thrill of attending the 1995 Winston-Salem event. Imagine being in the same room as 20 TAGS stars and actually seeing and hearing them in the flesh. There is only one word for that. Big. What a treas...ure it must be to have one of those autographed rocking chairs. I have to add that I just received my trivia prize from Weaver's Department Store. I selected the Barney Fife thermometer and what a thermometer it is. Only one word to describe it. Big, and I mean big literally. I certainly recommend it as a great addition to any Mayberry collections you might have. Have a wonderful cruise Allan and I will be anxious to hear all about it.Read More

I get so envious whenever I listen to the podcasts and hear all those great Mayberry folks visiting with Allan. It gets rather lonely here in the Midwest with all the big Mayberry fans living in other parts of the country. When I do my Mayberry presentations many of the folks come out of curiosity to find out what i...t is about. I try to interject some good Mayberry quotes and one liners but quite often the only reaction I get is a bunch of blank stares. People in this neck of the woods are just not that well versed in Mayberry talk. Guess that is one reason I enjoy going to the Taylor Home Inn so much. There I get to sit back and talk Mayberry Talk with some real fans. So guess I must be contented with that and just be thankful I have the podcasts to enjoy.Read More
