The governor is not the one who makes these decisions. The legislature must pass, by a 2/3 majority, the tax increases necessary to fund our schools from K on up. The GOP will not cooperate, period. They WANT the schools to be underfunded and this is the exact outcome they have been working for since the 1970's -- the destruction of public education.

Predators with experience of skunks avoid them both because of their black-and-white coloration and their distinctive body shape, according to UC Davis wildlife researcher Jennifer Hunter. The study was published online Oct. 21 in the journal Behavioral Ecology.
