(Nov. 6, 2009) As the holidays draw near, it’s more important than ever to take a look around, take a moment and volunteer your time to make someone’s life better. The Experiential Learning Center’s Nov. 4 Stop and Serve asked for five minutes of time, is all, and 44 students (about 30 new), two professors and six staf...f stop and serve gave that much and much more. The event is held in the North Classroom Atrium on the Downtown Campus.
In no time:
• 5 no-sew blankets for the Children’s Hospital were created.
• 26 meal bags for project angel hart were decorated.
• 7 beanies for the African Community Center were completed. The materials for this event were provided by the Students for Community Engagement, a student group dedicated to elevating the culture of service on Auraria Campus.

(Oct. 30, 2009) The two-day snowstorm didn't dampen any Halloween spirits in the College of Nursing or the Staff Council downtown. Faculty, staff and a few of their children dressed up for the parade around the school Friday, Oct. 30, in the College of Nursing. After trick-or-treating, participants won prizes.
The Staff... Council staff appreciation breakfast featured the finest in ghouls and good spirits as staff dressed up, enjoyed a delicious breakfast and helped the less fortunate with a food drive. Read More
