University of Colorado Denver Great Denver Post article on the Kempe Center.

www.denverpost.com
In 1962, Dr. C. Henry Kempe co-wrote a paper that changed the way the medical profession looked at child abuse. And 10 years later, he opened a nonprofit facility in Denver, the Kempe Center, to help treat the young and innocent victims that had undergone abuse and neglect.

University of Colorado Denver A happy note for the holidays! There's been an 'unprecedented' decline in mortality in the 'big four' cancers: lung, prostate, breast and colorectal. Here's a great story by the Aurora Sentinel that talks to our interim director at the Cancer Center.

That might be because the process of fertilization is not fully understood. University of Colorado Denver researcher Brad Stith, PhD, is clearing up the mysteries surrounding fertilizatio...n using fats and frog eggs. http://www.cudenver.edu/Who%20Am%20I/Network/Tell/Fall2009/Pages/Stithfrogeggs.aspx

Charity is good, but what about a campaign for lowering the cost of education? All I ever see is increase after increase along with high salaries. That would be a proper focus for a University. Let corporations and their donors continue to support the United Way. The focus of the university should be to figure out how all people can gain access to ... See MoreTHEIR educational system. This is no more than bureaucracy from the University bourgeoisie during the Christmas Holiday. Think people....you are suppose to be our intellectuals. Maybe my brothers and sisters at Berkeley need to come to UCD for a little protest.

This is a drive soliciting from *employees* of the university. Many (like myself) also happen to be students, so many student/employees will get this solicitation because of their employee status. Joe must work in a different department. In my department our salaries are fair, but not at all high if compared to the private sector.
