In 1962, Dr. C. Henry Kempe co-wrote a paper that changed the way the medical profession looked at child abuse. And 10 years later, he opened a nonprofit facility in Denver, the Kempe Center, to help treat the young and innocent victims that had undergone abuse and neglect.

University of Colorado Denver The evening of Nov. 24, 14 UC Denver students volunteered at the African Community Center’s annual “Refugee’s First Feast” Thanksgiving celebration. The volunteers donated $100 worth of beans, rice, and pasta, served food to a crowd of 250 guests, washed dishes and helped clean-up afterwards.
