This is so sad! This sanctuary used to provide a lifetime home to cats with FIV/FELV. It is devistating to see that things got so bad. :(

How could we forget to mention neuro?? You guys are all so high-powered!! So many success cases, Sirus the boxer and many more. The collaborations we have with the folks at the Brain Institute are truly unique and it's interesting how human medicine has benefited from what we've done -- as well as the other way around.

Paul, give Mary at the CVM Bookstore a call at (352) 392-6255. She has several items for sale. In addition, many of the student clubs and classes sell T-shirts, sweats and other items at various CVM events. There probably will be tables at our alumni gathering at NAVC in January, if you're going. Good luck!

Taylor Mason Hello! I am looking for information on your veterinary program. Some questions: Do I need credits? Do I have to keep a certain GPA? Is the admission process competitive? How long does it take to get a degree, and be a certified veterarian? How much are dorm fees? Thank you for her help!

University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine Who remembers the inspiring story of Lance, the Super Dog? We ran a story in the Fall 2008 Florida Veterinarian about Lance (the newsletter is posted on our Web site in the PR section if you missed it.) The Miami Herald ran a story this week about Lance and his special owners, how the UFCVM neurology service helped the...m and how Lance is helping sick kids at Miami Children's Hospital. If you haven't read about Lance, check this story out -- you'll be so glad you did.

Every Tuesday, patients at Miami Children's Hospital get a visit from a foot-tall therapist who doesn't make them exercise or ask them how they feel.

Hi- I'm Lance's mom!!! I'm the lucky one!!! I wanted to drop a note and once again show my gratitude to Amy and Dr. Clemmons who were instrumental in helping my husband and I cope with Lance's paralysis and make the most of it. We bring Lance every year to see DR. Clemmons and Amy because we know Lance deserves the best treatment and care a dog could ever have. Thanks again everyone at UFCVM. Bark on!!!!

Hi, Claudia, great to hear from you! Lance is a legend around the CVM (...as well as everywhere else he goes, it seems!) Glad to know he's still changing lives and making a difference. It's wonderful to hear such good things about Dr. Clemmons, Amy and the neurology gang, I know they look forward to Lance's visits as do all his other friends. Take care and thanks for saying hi!
