Tuesday, December 1st is World AIDs Day
Help us spread awareness:
Wear RED to pay tribute to those who lost their lives or the lives of loved ones to AIDS, and recognize and honor those who are still fighting, including our wonderful HERO children!
UGA HEROs will be at Tate from 10-2 handing out red ribbons for everyone t...o wear...The red ribbon is an international symbol of AIDS awareness and represents the care and concern about HIV and AIDS, as well as the huge need for support and commitment to fighting the virus and the stigma...
We will also be there with a huge banner. Everyone will get to paint over AIDS, showing that the University of Georgia is SLASHING THE STIGMA!

Locos on Harris St. (by the dorms) has agreed to donate 10% of all its profits to UGA HEROs on November 30th.
It's simple:
1. Eat a locos.
2. Place your receipt in the box by the hostess stand when you leave.
3. HERO earns 10%

Richt and our Football Players, along with Coach Johnson and the GT Football Players are coming together on the biggest day of rivalry to raise money and awareness for children
infected and impacted with HIV/AIDS in Georgia.
Look for both of the teams wearing stickers on their helmets representing ...their support for our awesome cause!
If you're going to be at the game make sure to stop by the booth at Wreck Fest in front of the stadium and if you're watching it on TV spread the word! HEROs is going national!!!

The PR Committee teamed up with other fellow HEROs to throw the first ever 5K event at the Botanical Gardens.
The event raised over $2,300 and brought together students, businesses and community members to spread awareness and support for the HERO children.
Thanks to all who volunteered and participated the event was a ...huge success! A special thanks to Smoothie King, Starbucks, Whynatte, the Botanical Gardens and Big City Bread for donating and sponsoring the event!
