(Although it doesn't really take much for the govt. to do except ensure more strict enforcement of their laws against deforestation, b...ut still - a 'cool' step.) This should shame / pressure some other countries into action - given that a DEVELOPING Economy, and one from the Southern Hemisphere (largely innocent compared to the bulk of the world's emissions) is taking the lead.
