I'm jealous! I have been trying to find time to do that. I've got to be on parts of it. I found a map that is just the route of Route 66 that breaks it up into 6 different trips. I think i got it in Illinois but I'm sure you can find something like that anywhere on the Route. Have a great time!!!!

There are many websites dedicated to Route 66. We are riding our Harley from Chicago to Santa Monica this summer. There are many maps available also GPS downloads available. Our Garmin 550 GPS came with Route 66 pre-loaded. Here is a link to get you started. Google will help you with the rest. Enjoy your trip.

After 211 days and walking 2,105 miles, a 71-year old Des Plaines man finally realized his goal. On Monday, Emory Duick and his daughter, Lauren, reached the Santa Monica Pier, and the famed end of the Mother Road.

We have been on almost all the Route,but i cant imagine doing this walking!--I think all young people should do this-it would really give them a great look into life and great adventure meeting all new people--wonderful--ahh to be young again!
