Union College A little trivia: Union got a call from GQ magazine today. In an upcoming article, a writer refers to a flag that his great-great grandmother sewed in 1861 that "still hangs" at Union today. GQ was calling to fact-check the statement. Do you know what flag the writer is referring to and where it's located on campus?

UC Outdoors, UCanoe, and the Union College Appalachian Wilderness Club

UC Outdoors provides outdoor programming for Union College. The Appalachian Wilderness Club, a student-run organization, has been around since 1980. UCanoe provides canoe rentals and guide service for the college and the community. UCO/AWC activities include caving (though we're currently honoring the caving moratorium... to try to halt the spread of white nose syndrome among bats), canoeing, kayaking, climbing, rappelling, camping, hiking, backpacking, trail running, mountain biking, scuba diving, and just plain socializing.

Union College If you plan to come to Union for Ghost Tours on Friday or Saturday night, bring along non-perishable food items to donate to the Common Partners food drive. They're collecting for Kentucky Harvest Southeast. All proceeds go to the local food pantry.

When I was at Union we had a haunted house in Pfeiffer Hall Lobby and Downstairs....Do they still do that? It was awesome! Also....I have been in the attic of Speed Hall on Halloween.....Fun Halloween Memories at Union.

Lucas--I think Ghost Tours extends the haunted house idea to several buildings. I know Pfeiffer, Speed Hall, and Centennial are all involved. The tours act out various myths and legends about ghosts on campus. It's gotten really popular over the last few years. I think more than 150 people came one year.---Brenna

That's awesome! It was a lot of fun doing that stuff at Union. I'm glad people are still coming out and also as a former Bonner, I hope a lot of people bring plenty of food for the food pantry.

Union College Congrats to our Student Ambassadors and Admissions Office for hosting a successful SEKY College Fair! Union hosted the fair on Oct. 19, which brought hundreds of students and dozens of colleges to campus.
