This year been very tough for many, and could potentially get a bit tougher in 2010. That said, if you have a warm bed, food, and loving friends and family you're truly blessed and must give thanks.
But, there are those that are not as fortunate as you, and could use a small donation to help them not just on Thanksgiv...ing, but for days to come. Please take a moment and determine if you’re in a position to help feed the homeless either by donating money to your local shelter, or drive to your local homeless shelter and donate food and clothing to those less fortunate than you.
For me, Thanksgiving is about friends, family, and charity.

This past spring, Food Services Manager Charles Bedell started cooking classes for our Adult Center clients, as well as a separate class for children at the Family Center. The value of these classes to our homeless community members is far greater than the food preparation skills they learn...
