United Nurses Assns. of California/Union of Health Care Professionals It's amazing how things work together - fast food businesses that cater to our hectic lifestyles are allowed to grow unchecked, despite the well-known health disadvantages, and then health insurance companies use the poor health ensuing from this lifestyle (watch "Super Size Me" by Morgan Spurlock) to charge people out... the nose if they want any kind of care. Health insurance is not like car insurance - it's not supposed to be only when you have an disaster. Too bad the insurance companies don't seem to realize that. If they didn't want to cover sick people, they never should have entered the health insurance business.

The only way to guarantee rights in the workplace is the have a union - and for unions to continue to change the employment landscape for the better.

It's amazing how much of a staple soda is in the American diet - and how completely and utterly devoid of any nutritional value it is.
