I am slightly confused about the procedure to receive a Portable Research Grant.
On the "University of Rochester Application Guide" it says to complete the Combined-Admission Program application, but the application only includes the GEAR, GRADE, REBS, and REMS programs. Am I missing something completely on the applicat...ion?

Also, I've already submitted all of my other application materials for Early Decision. If I did miss something on the application, would this hinder my acceptance? Or would it be assumed that I wasn't just wasn't interested anymore?

Mary,
Sorry about the confusion regarding the U of R Application Guide and, specifically, the Portable Research Grant (PRG). We reviewed the Guide and, indeed, we made a mistake. PRG does not require the Combined-Admission Program Application, so it should not have been listed with the other four programs. Your interest in PRG is noted on your ... Hi Esther. Have you checked out the page for the GRADE program at http://www.rochester.edu/college/CCAS/grade.html? There are some direct contacts at the bottom of the page that would probably be the most helpful with more information regarding the application process. Good luck!

Tuli I am going to apply to U of R. I just want to know about the tunnel system. I am not too fond of the cold weather, so, do I have the choice to just use the tunnels and not walk in the snow?

Kinda sorta. Not all buildings are connected to the tunnel system, or at least not that I'm aware of. Most of the main buildings where classes are held are connected to the tunnel system. I'm not fond of cold weather either. Hope I was able to help.

Hi Melissa. The main classroom buildings, library, and student union on the Eastman Quad are connected through the tunnels. So for most of the day, you could stay warm and snow-free in the tunnels, until you need to head back to the dorms, that is!
