Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW
Across America, the initials VFW are a familiar sight. Emblazoned over entrances to local posts located from small towns in Maine to big cities in California, those three letters symbolize a commitment to the nation both at home and abroad.

As the saying back during Vietnam stated...
"If You Haven't Been There "Shut-Up"...

Everything you see and hear from the White House,
VA and any Polotician is a Lie...it is just Hollow
words...

You realize of course that a Veteran is denied the
"Due Process of Law' when filing His/Her Claim...
It is called the "Fere's Doctrine"...
Don't see any VSO fighting that one...

Glen, talk about someone who doesn't have any idea what's really going on. You throw around bogius stats that are purely based on your imagination only. Our financials are public information and anyone can access them, so quit blowing smoke. And the fact is, the VFW doesn't single out just combat veterans to 'care" about, rather we advocate for ALL veterans. If you can't make an intelligent comment, keep it to yourself.

I respect the office....the C-I-C does not RESPECT the Republic. Check official photo taken at ANC on Veteran's Day, officer's rendering salute, POTUS standing there...hand not over his heart; he's clueless as to his POSITION and his RESPONSIBILITY....no race issue, just PRESIDENTIAL!! I fought for this Republic, My son died for this Republic, I'll damn well say my piece!!

I agree with you William this is a public forum If it isn't vulgar why should they threaten you? I fully support the VFW and very active with my local VFW. The organization as a whole should open their eyes to the younger generations thoughts and our ideas. The VFW will fade away with their "we have always done it this way" attitude.

I think it is more of a fear of appearing political and losing our tax exemption.

I do have some thoughts though.

He is the president even if he sucks.... Read More

He should be at Ft Hood now.. I just wish I had faith in his motives. But give him credit even if he is just going through the motions.

We got through Carter we will survive this guy, remember we carried the rifle so our country could chose its future. This doesn't guarantee a smart choice. Democracy is always vulnerable to those who abuse its rules for their own gain. Lets just hope we don't have to go all eighteenth century on his butt.

SSP, Then you didn't pay attention because they provided plenty for deployed soldiers. Since the majority of Soldiers from '03 were Reservist and Guard members, they were guaranteed jobs to return to, and some continued to receive even pay leave of absence there by collecting two paychecks while deployed. They like Reagan, approved the acquisition ... Read Moreof equipment that made it possible for more soldiers to survive combat....So either directly or indirectly you benefited.
As for Mr Key. Although I support your right to speak your mind. I also believe that you have been given a forum to do so on your own FB profile. And since I as a veteran also believe that this right applies to all citizens then the VFW as the right to ask you to tone it down on their site, and if you don't they have the right to stop giving you access. This is their freedom of speech to which you are impeding by your inflammatory political comments. It could cause them to loose their Profile on FB there by causing all VFW members to lose a helpful resource. Besides are you Mad at the VFW or are you Mad at OBAMA? If its the President Tell him directly, he has profiles on just about all the Social Forums. If its the VFW, as a member you should put your complaint or problems though the proper channels, or pay for your own public ad to voice your complaint.
