VV Brown has had a busy summer wowing festival crowds at Glastonbury, T In The Park, Lovebox, Camp Bestival, Secret Garden Party, V Festival and Bestival, she is now embarking on a UK tour. The 12 date tour starts tonight in Manchester – you still have the chance to catch one of these special performances, tickets are available from SeeTickets.com

You can also check out this performance and interview VV did for Konbini to give you a taste of the VV experience.

As well as performing live, VV has also been busy being creative in other ways. Ctrl.Alt.Shift Unmasks Corruption - VV has contributed her skills to an amazing Comic Book Anthology with some of the best-known comic book writers as well as writers better known for other things, such as musician Lightspeed Champion. The Experimental youth initiative Ctrl.Alt.Shift brought together an eclectic mix of politicized comic book and graphic novel work in a bid to politicise a new generation of activists through the medium of popular comic culture. An Exhibition of the works can be viewed at Soho’s Lazarides Gallery from 6 – 28 November. See The Guardian article here.
At the beginning of October V V was amongst the artists that kicked off the Oxjam Music Festival at a special gig in an Oxfam shop in London.

Since then other Oxjam events, organised by members of the public, have been taking place up and down the country - from a world record breaking 17 hour continuous freestyle rap in Cardiff, to heavenly gospel choirs in Leicester.

There are only a few days left of Oxfam's month of music dedicated to fighting poverty, so get on the website, check out the video of V V at the launch gig and take a look at other Oxjam events that are happening near you.

HMV are releasing a very special compilation CD on Monday 26th October, and a track by V V is included!

The set is called 'My Inspiration' and features cover versions by current artists of songs from the artists that have inspired them to get where they are today.

It features contributions from James Morrison, Stereophonics and Girls Aloud, so V V is in good company as she adds to the mix a unique version of Gwen Guthrie's classic 'Padlock'!

If you want to make your V V collection complete, then you can buy the album from any of HMV's 280 stores or online from HMV.com.
