Karl, I drive my '07 a lot. It is only 2.5 yrs old and I have over 113K miles driven already. There have been a couple of things go wrong that I wouldn't anticipate at such a young age: 1) needed new rear wheel bearings at 90K (my previous Acura didn't need those until 170K). There was also an issue with the manual transmission that didn't ... Read Morejive either. Part of me thinks that the dealership was at fault a little and resulted in the replacement of the dual flywheel. Very expensive, but I think they misdiagnosed the problem which ended up being much less expensive. Other than those two things, the car runs very well and is fun to drive. Good luck!

Sounds good. I'm just scared of ending up in the shop again every few weeks. My GLI might of been a lemon, who knows. Thanks for the info though! Have you heard of anyone else having problems or is everything you hear pretty solid??

Re Make A Wish Foundation of Northern WV We have a child who is in love with "Herbie" and her wish isto "have a car, Herbie the Love Bug, for her mom can take her to Chuck ECheese". the best is from b&m(very trustworthy brand)..but ive seen a hole bunch in ebay...dont specify the year just look for gti short shifter or golf mkiv short shifter the b&m is there too...thats wat i have...dont worry too much...is basically a shorter metal rod...everything else is pretty much the same...(b&m changes all small plastics to metal)
