Some Veterans live many miles from a VA Medical Center, making visits to doctors or clinicians an all-day event. Others – those in chronic conditions – require constant monitoring but opt to stay at home rather than in the hospital. ...

A lot of people are a long way from the VA centers. In Salem, VA there are peope that come from as far away as 4 or more hours. They have set up satellite type clinics in more central areas. There is one in Danville, VA that has been very helpful for most. Maybe, there could be something like that done.

I, too, Chip, suffer from PTSD for reasons other than your's but we are all the same. Don't push too hard. Listen with heart, soul and mind. It took me 35 years before I would tell my husband about my experience in the service that caused me to have PTSD. I now work with young women who are working towards being survivors of sexual trauma in the military. Nothing really changes from one generation to the next.
