Our visiting interns from Shanghai got a big dose of bona fide Southern hospitality at Vienna, Georgia’s Big Pig Jig this weekend. Not only did they get to sample some of the South’s best pork barbeque at the festival, but TLC, which was recording footage for a special program on this culinary treat, also filmed them f...or the show. A special thanks to the residents of Vienna and to the contest participants for welcoming our international guests with such warmth. In a time of cash-strapped county budgets, ACCG and the Vinson Institute are offering training programs during the last two weeks of July at several locations around the state—Gainesville, Rome, Ti...fton, and Statesboro—allowing you to travel fewer miles to get there. Savings from reduced overnight stays and other travel-related expenses will make it easier for you to get the training you need during budgetary crunch times.Več
