First the money the state spend came from bonds that were passed years ago and federal funds given to Va for proposes for this. That money could not be spent on anything but buying land.

I love that we will have a state park so close to my home...i am still wondering how all this came about. It was a long haul getting approval for the housing development and now that has suddenly dropped and the sellers agreeable to such a reduction in sales price......makes me wonder.....must be substantial tax credits!
