What is the silver cylinder I'm seeing just ahead of the cyl head??
Our engineer, Nathan O'Rourke has the answer for you:
This is the header tank for the engine’s water cooling system. This serves multiple purposes.... The water system can be filled from here. The water system is pressurized to a level determined by Honda before the engine is run… this pressure is set through the header tank as the upper portion is filled with a charge of air. This serves a dual purpose as it also allows an area for expansion as the water heats up.Read More
