There's SO much to do here, it just depends on what you like to do. Are you in to arts & culture, nightlife, sports, outdoors, etc.? I can certainly point you in the right direction...

we like pretty much anything - love trying new restaurants (local restaurants not chains of course).. if you could recommend a couple of restaurants and maybe a couple of fun activities that would be great! preferably nothing ridiculously expensive, as i have not yet won the lottery... :)

For any Mexican cravings, try Algusto's on Kennedy Blvd. For a Tampa spin on California dishes, try Ciccio & Tony's on Howard Ave. Both are awesome. Or head down to Ybor City...you can't go wrong there. For activities, take a stroll down Bayshore Blvd., or head to the Zoo, MOSI or Dali Museum (all affordable). But there's even more to do...do you want to go outdoors, stay in, shop, explore?

A long "research" trip around the state found many bars reflect the wild, eclectic, historic and often bizarre character of the state itself." Well, Skipper's Smokehouse was the ONLY Florida west coast location on the list...congrats!

Actually, we have a couple of Farmer's Markets in town. One in Ybor City every Saturday (which I go to every week and it is amazing). The other is returning to downtown Tampa on Oct. 16 and is on Friday's from 10am-2pm. Really cool stuff at both of them.
