WSIU Public Radio SIU President Glenn Poshard names University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee administrator Rita Cheng as his nominee for Chancellor of the SIU Carbondale campus. Poshard will recommend Cheng at the Dec. 10th Board of Trustees meeting.

The City of Carbondale is looking at re-instating a portion of its city property tax to help fund the general budget. The City Council is expected to discuss the tax levy at its meeting tonight. The city has abated 100% of its portion of property tax since 2002⋯⋯

Southern Illinois University President Glenn Poshard is expected to announce his choice for SIUC Chancellor today. The decision falls to two finalists⋯⋯
