The Thoroughbred Chapter of PRSA is partnering with the Kentucky Association of Government Communicators (KAGC) for a professional development conference on social media. The conference will be held Friday, Nov. 20, at Malone's Banquet Room, located upstairs in Sal's Chophouse in the Lansdowne Shopping Center, 3373 Tat...es Creek Road, Lexington, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Steve Crescenzo, a Chicago-based communications expert in social media who spoke at the KAGC fall conference last year, and Bill Dotson, a Lexington-based authority on social media who will talk about implementing a plan for your company will be the featured speakers.
If you attend as a guest of Bill Dotson for the afternoon session only, there is no fee to attend. You must notify Bill (bdotson@webmedley.com or 859-361-4464) so we can have a full count of guest attendees.
PRSA members have an early registration deadline coming quickly. Register by October 15th for $50. After that date, the registration fee is $75. The registration form is attached or can be found online at www.kagc.ky.gov.
About the Speakers
Steve Crescenzo
Steve Crescenzo's talk will give you a game plan for integrating your print and online presence using all that technology has to offer. He has the entire morning to lay out how we can use what we've got to get where we want to be.
Crescenzo is known across the nation for his communications expertise. This is your chance to hear him speak locally and at a fraction of what you would pay to attend one of his national sessions!
Through his work as a consultant, writer and seminar leader, Steve Crescenzo has helped thousands of communicators improve both their print and electronic communication efforts. Recognized as one of the nation's leading experts in employee communications, Crescenzo is the leader of three popular workshops: Strategic Employee Communication Vehicles, Integrating Print and Online Communication Vehicles, and The Master Class of Employee Communication.
He has also taught seminars at IABC's 2001 through 2009 International Conferences as well as at numerous IABC chapter and district events throughout America and Europe.
Steve currently works on three communication-related publications. He is a senior editor and columnist for both The Ragan Report and The Journal of Employee Communication Management, and a columnist and contributing writer for Corporate Writer and Editor.
Bill Dotson
In the afternoon, Bill Dotson of WebMedley, based in Lexington, will conduct an interactive session focused on taking your business or agency online. Bill is a technology and business development consultant who has been sharing his expertise with thousands of people over 12 years. Bill will show you how to successfully approach your company's online initiatives, develop goals and *then* strategy, and the tools to use to accomplish your goals.
A Kentucky native and UK grad, Bill runs WebMedley. His firm helps companies choose the right web technology to accomplish their business goals. From web creation to online ads and social media, WebMedley helps over 1000 businesses around the world.
In 1997, Bill founded TransDigital to offer a personalized, boutique agency approach to web application design and hosting. Prior to selling TransDigital in 2005, Bill helped launch two other companies that use technology to solve medical and research business problems. Bill has worked in multiple countries and is supported by his wife and three boys.
Our partnership with the Kentucky Association of Goverment Communicators (KAGC) offers you even more networking opportunities this year.

Steve Harvey, secular comedian, in front of a secular audience. He poses the question "How would you introduce God?" His response is amazing. Takes 3 minutes to watch. Well worth it.
