The Wrigley Company is founded in Chicago and Stanford University opens its doors for the first time.

Westfield publishes its first black and white mail order catalog for NEW comics. Color blind collectors go wild over the new offering.

1986
Westfield consolidates all operations under the same combined warehouse/office space. The break room becomes officially enormous.

1989
Westfield Comics incorporated as "The Westfield Company of Wisconsin, Inc." due to unavailability of shorter, better names.

1989
Began using revolutionary Elcon pick-to-light system to ensure great efficiency and accuracy in filling orders. News from the future is misheard and results in one Westfield employee trying to buy shares of Elcon.

1991
The Westfield's Comics, Etc. retail store opens its doors and the mail order business converts its ordering system to advance orders, reflecting the industry standard and loads of misplaced optimism.

Oct 1995
The Westfield web site goes live. Technologically-challenged Westfield founder freely admits to being completely lost.

2005
Amidst increasing pressure from pretty much everyone to embrace the 21st century, Westfield's catalog goes to full color.
