Women of the ELCA Every now and then we hear a story about Jesus or Mary showing up in something like a grilled cheese sandwich. Are they trying to talk to us by appearing in our food and in water stains on highway underpasses? Our latest blog post at http://blogs.elca.org/women/ ponders seeing the divine a bit too literally in everyday things.

Judy Lang Thanks for all the resources you provide. I'm looking forward to TGP gathering this month.

Women of the ELCA Today's blog post invites you, in anticipation of All Saints Sunday, to think of the saints in your life. http://blogs.elca.org/women/

Carol Fossum Thanks always for the good resources. I try to download and print all of them to have in my file of resources..... It is always good to have them handy for meetings and say "Here's a good resource to use!."

Women of the ELCA Looking for some new resources? Visit www.womenoftheelca.org where we've just posted two new resources: "Advent: A Season for All Generations" and "Raising Up Healthy Women and Girls: Connecting with and Supporting Girls." Both are free downloadable PDFs that you can photocopy for your use.

The Foundation has established a record of giving principally in the U.S. Virgin Islands and in the year 2000 has expanded its focus by the creation and awarding of a new series of international awards.

Women of the ELCA Over on our blog (http://blogs.elca.org/women/) we're talking about how Lutheran women serve their neighbors. Come on over and let us know what you're doing in your congregation to serve your neighbors, whether they are neighbors that live around the block or on the next farm or somewhere around the globe.

So many women in this organization work against human trafficking. The Lutheran World Federation council is meeting 22-27 October with the theme "Upholding Human Dignity: Confronting Human Trafficking." Read more at http://www.lutheranworld.org/News/LWI/EN /2417.EN.html. Anxious to see what we can learn from the global ...communion to help in our ministries here.

Women of the ELCA October and November are the most popular months for Thankofferings in our organization. How does the Thankoffering take place in your women's group or congregation? When do you usually have it?
