Sarah Out of curiosity- why would we want yoga to become an Olympic Sport? I was under the impression that one of the challanges to yoga was to ridding the need to compete with your neighbor in a stressful situation while focusing on your own perfect body, the pose and your breath. I think it would be fine for athletes to compete doing yoga poses, but they need to call it something else besides "yoga". It is not yoga, it is not union, it is a performance and competition which are the last... principles that I would suggest in a yoga class. They have their place in our world of form, but please find another word(s) to define it as a sport.Read More

Katie A. Campbell Yoga @ Performance Square in Helena, MT had a humble draw of participants, but donations through the whole month of Sept. were given to a local charity. I also gave 1-1 clients the option to donate or have a free session during Sept! It's great to be a part of National Yoga Month!

Amy-Sat Prem We offered FREE Yoga in the Park - great group, some new to yoga. Everyone enjoyed the sunshine, soft grass and tree shade. Definitely doing it again next year! Sat nam!

we held a yoga week during national yoga month at Dragonfly Yoga where all yoga classes were free/donation-based. a couple reps from a great company called Mambo Sprouts came for class and dropped off plenty of healthy, organic snacks to pass out!
