Tracey pretty much always knew she would get into acting, and her desire to perform has led to various interesting venues all over the country. It all started in Boston, at age 10. "I never decided to act, I just always kinda did. I had my first class at the Boston Shakespeare Co. Then danced and did school plays the normal theatre geek stuff. I got my BA at U/Mass and it was so great and so fun and it just felt so perfect. So I knew that poverty and rejection were to be my future."
Perhaps, but she wasn't feeling rejected when she was invited to direct a play called "Cowboy Mouth" in Shreveport, LA. Why did she take the job? "Because someone asked me to! So my journey led me to the middle of the country and I was either going to go to New York or California when the play ended. I chose Cali, and so here I am many years later."
But there's a secret to why she chose California. "I came out to LA because I had friends I could stay with for free. To be completely honest, I got into improv because it was the easiest way to get stage time. But I ended up having the greatest time and meeting the greatest people."

Which she did first at Theatresports, and through friends there, she discovered ACME. She has plenty of great experiences at ACME, but it's the atmosphere that stands out most. "I always love the feeling just before the show starts and you hear Jonathan Green playing the theme song that was created just for the show that you are lucky enough to be in, it makes you feel very special."
Tracey was also in "Zombies", a special improv show set in a world overrun with, well, zombies. She fondly remembers some unusual words before each show, "I always found it really funny back stage before doing 'Zombies' cause everyone was running saying 'who has blood I can borrow'".
Don't worry, Tracey, we'll always have some blood for you to borrow.
