AC Buckland Well, it's just over a month until the AC Buckland is due to be at this year's Thatcham Classic show (www.facebook.com/thatchamclassic). I fear that after a busy summer, the car won't be as advanced as I hoped, but I'm sure it will prompt some conversation at least, even if it is far from finished!

AC Buckland Quiet on the AC front of late as stripping the Porsche has rather taken over. Next job though is the steel reinforcing of the new wood at back - just need to cut to size and screw everything in place!

AC Buckland A rummage in the garage by Mick Walsh - C&SC's ed-in-chief and son of PAR 419's previous owner, turned up the rear bumper for the Buckland this weekend. Now I can send both bumpers and the windscreen frame off for rechroming.

is very happy to welcome Elizabeth Gibbs to our facebook page. Elizabeth is the daughter of Harold Day, the
first owner of our AC and can be seen driving at Brands
Hatch in our profile picture. Elizabeth and her two
sisters have fond memories of PAR 419 and I have posted a couple of their recollections in the Discussio...ns page (click on the tab at the top of this page). Hopefully this can be expanded over time.

AC Buckland Last night I saw what one person can achieve in a draughty garage with a MIG welder, a spray gun and a lot of elbow grease, patience and determination. I am officially spurred on.

AC Buckland The AC Buckland will be at this year's Thatcham Classic show on 9 September. It may have to arrive on a trailer, but it WILL be there along with some of the other members of the Classic & Sports Car fleet. See www.facebook.com/thatchamclassic for details.

AC Buckland A frustrating afternoon on the Buckland. So much to do! Rear seats are in though and give a nice indication of how things will look. Not bad for 58 years old...
