open adoption agency. For over 25 years we have advocated fully open adoptions placing nearly 4000 newborns.
Our Mission:
The mission of the Independent Adoption Center (IAC) is to provide open adoption placement and counseling to birth and adoptive families to ensure that every child grows up feeling loved and supported.
What We Do:
IAC informs, supports, and guides birth and adoptive parents through the process of creating healthy new families through open adoption.
IAC’s professional staff provides support and counseling for birthparents, works closely with adoptive parents throughout the adoption process, and provides ongoing post-placement support and consultation for birthparents and adoptive families.
IAC is focused on transforming lives through open adoption by serving the best interests of birthmothers, children, and adoptive families.

Shannon My husband and I cannot have any biological children and want to adopt. we were considering doing foster care but have decided for us that adoption would be best. We are already overwhelmed and do not know where to start. We know that we 1st must get a home study done in order to apply for grants to help with the cost but from there we are kind of lost any suggestion.. we will want to adopt an infant or a toddler.

Danielle Riddell I think November is an awesome month! We have been trying to have a baby for four years now and have had no such luck! :( We looked into adoption and are trying to save money back but it might take us a while! We are thinking of fostering first, any suggestions?

I am an author/illustrator and I have penned a childrens book explaining the adoption process from a birth mother's point of view. It is honest, open and heart-warming. I have had many people contact me to tell me how wonderful it is to hear the birth mother's side of the story.

i am interested in getting more information on open adoptions. my son and his wife are having a hard time conceiving. i would like to get information for them and see if your agency could help. i have been watching your show and i believe that every child should be given a chance to be raised by loving people and i fe...el that my son and daughterinlaw would make a very good parents. Tiffani Thank you, Lane, for a wonderful orientation on Saturday. Besides feeling better about the open adoption process, it was nice to spend some time with some other infertile couples- we're always surrounding by pregnant women, it seems.
