Cadets and staff from 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron were out in force again this year to help bring in the crowds for Nuneaton’s Civic Bonfire and Firework display.

Football-mad cadets from 2438 (Bishop Ullathorne) Squadron have shown their support for the nationally successful Help for Heroes campaign.

A prestigious air cadet trophy, awarded annually for outstanding achievement, has been presented to an officer from Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire Wing.

The Air Cadet Organisation has recognised a number of high achieving and long serving volunteers at an award presentation held at Royal Air Force College Cranwell, Lincolnshire.

personnel suffer road related accidents – last
year 17 individuals were injured and this excludes accidents outside of
cadet activities. To raise awareness, Commandant Air Cadets, Air
Commodore Ian Stewart has initiated a poster competition to help
promote road safety throughout the organisation.

Flight Lieutenant Alyn Thompson has celebrated 25 years in the post of Officer Commanding 1211 (Swadlincote) Squadron (Sqn), becoming one of the longest serving Commanding Officers in the history of the Air Training Corps.

In a bid to raise awareness of road safety Air Commodore Stewart has initiated a brand new road safety campaign.

Adventure training opportunities for cadets in Herts and Bucks Wing ATC have received a boost, with a group of staff completing the final stage of a qualification enabling them to lead expeditions.
