The number of people who "cheat" - jump in 1 to 5 miles down the road or sneak up several groups - is getting bad. I'd put it at least at 10-15%. Now that the timing chip is in order, for next year if your timing chip doesn't acknowledge a start and finish - no shirt for you!

I agree. I used to work the finish line and I always hated giving a shirt to someone with NO sweat on them. This is the coolest P'tree I remember in 15 + years and I'm sure anyone who even walked the whole way would sweat a little.

make sure you have plenty of beer for the runners tho! water is for the head, beer is for the drinkin!

drink lots of water every day the week leading up - then you will be hydrated enough that you don't need to drink tons along the race and you can focus on RUNNING - save the drinking for after the race with your beverage of choice:)

pour the water on the back of my neck, or the backs of my knees...crooks of my elbows. It works ppl! But I agree...don't drink more than every other stop. You'll get too much water, and you'll sweat even more the more you drink!

I sure don't like it when people who have crossed the finish line and have their shirts come running back up P'tree showing everyone what it looks like. Not knowing is part of the fun.

I have and volunteered for this race for over 14 years...was a crew chief for 10....best event in town...best volunteers.

This is my 4th consecutive race. This is the 3rd consecutive race for my wife and 2 teens... we LOVE the entire day!!!!

I agree with John. If you think you can do it, you CAN! This is a great race to challenge yourself and have fun along the way. We're all in it together! I love the videos, very inspirational!

Online registration went smoothly with me. Good change for us out-of-staters. Of course, I was up at 6am waiting my turn in line!

3 months - 14 days and counting!

Last year I broke my foot a few weeks before the race so I walked it in an ortho shoe. I just didn't want to mss the fun, I agree with you Bob and Dona, it is to much fun to miss, but it's not a fast race at all. Don't worry about time, just finish the race and be happy.
