A 2-hour visit to the most "European" city in North America.

Yup, there was a two-hour limit on the parking meter, and I was back before the meter ran out. It was more than enough time. The actual "European" portion of the city is small: within the fortified walls of the old city. It's also cleaner and better kept than Europe. The old city is a combination of genuinely old buildings (200+ years old) and newer buildings built to the style (like the massive Fontenac Hotel).

Yes, I noticed how clean it was right off.
Very nice portrait of the old city.
Thank you.
Interesting life you live now, I enjoy following your adventures.
So how long before your flight privileges expire?

That is Vieux Quebec? It is beautful... It has been a while since I have been there but I'm sure that it hasn't changed.

My feeling on Vieux Quebec: If you have the time and money to come to this out-of-the-way place, you might as well go to the REAL Europe.
This is Europe for wimps!

Isn't it beautiful? I went there years ago, in early March, and when down at the river (down that crazy transport thing) I stood at the river bank, and could HEAR all the little icebergs clacking against one another as they rushed down river....a sound I never heard before. It was eerily beautiful! I'll never forget it.

its not supposed to be Europe. Its Canada! the only walled city in North America, also one of if not the oldest.

Actually, the idea of it is pretty cool! From this high vantage point, the Frogs could control access to the St. Lawrence and a good portion of the North American interior.
